Chief Conductor Emmanuel Villaume returns to the Slovak Philharmonic on September 26, his first concert with the orchestra of the 2014-15 season. Celebrating the 50th annual Bratislava Festival, the French conductor leads Jean-Yves Thibaudet in Ravel’s Piano Concerto alongside works by Giya Kancheli and Shostakovich.
From there, Emmanuel continues his season in Bratislava in December with three concert programs that span three centuries of music. December 4 and 5 hear works by Gluck, Beethoven, and Brahms, while the following week features pieces by Britten, Offenbach, and Schumann. Emmanuel’s final concerts of 2014 with the Slovak Philharmonic will highlight Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 24 in C Minor and Fauré’s Requiem, as well as a work by Krzysztof Penderecki on December 18 and 19.

A l’occasion du 50ème festival annuel de Bratislava, le chef d’orchestre français dirige Jean-Yves Thibaudet dans le Concerto pour piano de Ravel ainsi que dans des œuvres de Giya Kancheli et de Chostakovitch.

Villaumes letzte Konzert im Jahr 2014 mit der Slowakischen Philharmonie wird am 18. und 19.
