On February 14, Emmanuel Villaume returns to the Juilliard School for a concert with the conservatory’s orchestra at Alice Tully Hall that mixes French and Russian masterworks. The program begins with Stravinsky’s Feu d’artifice, followed by Ravel’s La valse. Following Glazunov’s Violin Concerto, the evening brings France and Russia together with Ravel’s arrangement of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. Lifan Zhu is heard as the soloist in Glazunov.
