After last week’s program of Wagner and Strauss, Emmanuel Villaume is once again heard with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra this week in a concert that pairs works by Debussy and Ravel. Mezzo-soprano Iris Vermillion joins Emmanuel and the orchestra for the former composer’s La demoiselle élue, while the second half of the program is dedicated to Ravel’s complete score to Daphnis et Chloé — a work that Emmanuel conducted earlier this year with the Slovak Philharmonic.

Après le programme de Wagner et Strauss de la semaine dernière, Emmanuel Villaume est une fois de plus entendu avec l’Orchestre philharmonique de Slovénie cette semaine lors d’un concert qui allie des œuvres de Debussy et de Ravel. La mezzo-soprano Iris Vermillion rejoint Emmanuel et l’orchestre pour interpréter « La demoiselle élue » de ce dernier compositeur, alors que la seconde moitié du programme est consacrée à la partition complète de « Daphnis et Chloé » de Ravel – un travail que Emmanuel a déjà dirigé plus tôt cette année avec l’Orchestre philharmonique de Slovaquie. Les concerts ont lieu les 29 et 30 mai.
Nach dem Programm von Wagner und Strauss in der vergangenen Woche wird Emmanuel Villaume erneut diese Woche mit dem Philharmonischen Orchester von Slowenien in einem Konzert gehört, das die Werke von Debussy und Ravel vereint. Die Mezzosopranistin Iris Vermillion trifft Emmanuel und das Orchester und interpretiert « La demoiselle élue » vom selben Komponisten, während die zweite Hälfte des Programms an die vollständige Partitur von Ravels “Daphnis und Chloe” gewidmet wird – Arbeit, die Emmanuel bereits früher in diesem Jahr mit der Slowakischen Philharmonie geführt hatte. Die Konzerte finden am 29. und 30. Mai statt.
