Emmanuel Villaume has announced a busy schedule for the end-of-year season and early 2022. From November 13, the conductor helms the Bavarian State Opera’s production of Bizet’s Carmen in Munich, staged by Lina Wertmüller.

Villaume then heads to the Metropolitan Opera in New York for the traditional holiday presentations of Massenet’s Cinderella, sung in English and staged in a storybook production by Laurent Pelly.

In the new year, he takes Carmen to the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, this time a production staged by Dmitri Tcherniakov.

In February, we can look forward to Villaume conducting Puccini’s Madama Butterfly for the Dallas Opera, in an original production by Laurie Feldman.
